Melodrama retained and a masterful plot indeed. What fascinates me the most is the list of music pieces picked for making it an awesome 22-episode musical journey some of them include Beethoven’s Kreutzer and Mozart’s finest.Īgain, not only was I enthralled by the suspense of events but also by the evocative personality brought out in each character. The characters are made to obey the plot so well you tend to fall in love with each one of them for the roles they’re responsible for. My opinion: Friendship, love, and music…”Your lie in April” stood out to me it’s really something special and deep to share with the anime realm. Note: I won’t be getting into character bios as I would like to keep my review short. Eventually, he resigns himself from playing the piano and starts to lead a banal life with his friends, until one day a certain audacious someone steps foot and changes everything. Thanks to that, his ears stop reacting to the sound of the instrument. The boy goes through a chain of mental breakdowns while playing on recitals, recollecting the death of his rude and abusive teacher (his mother). It’s about a young pianist, a prodigy, who is willy-nilly forced to pursue the skill passionlessly by his uncharitable mother.
